2021 COVID-19 Business Support Grants

The impact of COVID-19 and subsequent local government area (LGA) lockdowns has been challenging for many businesses throughout Queensland.

In light of this, the Queensland Treasurer has announced $5,000 business support grants for small-and-medium-sized businesses across the state to help you through the impact of the second lockdown in a month.

The grants will provide cash flow support to help you adapt to evolving circumstances. Your business doesn’t have to be located in South East Queensland, but you must have experienced at least a 30% reduction in turnover as a result of the lockdown.

There will also be support payments to eligible impacted large businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector in the 11 LGAs currently locked down.

Applications for the 2021 COVID-19 Business Support Grants will open in mid-August. All eligible businesses who apply for a grant during the three-month application period will receive funding.

More information on how to apply and eligibility will be available online in the coming days.
